General Order Regarding E-Government Act Privacy Requirements

Attention: Redaction requirements promulgated by the E-Government Act of 2002 and the April 18, 2003 miscellaneous order issued by the United States District Court, Middle District of Alabama, currently apply only to civil cases. Redaction of certain information will be required in bankruptcy cases beginning in December, 2003.  Information concerning such requirements will be posted and sent to all ECF users prior to the effective date.
