  5. The location of your custom templates is displayed in the Folder name box.
    •   Note the path to the address (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\anyone\Application Data \Microsoft \Templates)
  6. Click Cancel, and then click Close.
  7. Copy the custom template files on the cd to the location noted in step 5.
    • Note:  To view the user templates directory using Windows Explorer, you may need to enable "Show hidden files and folders"
      • Right click Start
      • Click Explore
      • Click Tools>Folder Options
      • Select the View tab
      • Make sure the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button is selected.

Once you have saved your custom template files to the proper User Template folder, use the file by clicking on File>New>General Templates.  The files you saved to the user template folder should appear under the General Templates tab.
