Beginning April 1, 2017, the IRS will enforce regulations on interest bearing moneys held by courts, including funds held as disputed ownership funds in interpleader cases. We have added two new events in CM/ECF to help attorneys choose the specific motions dealing with interpleader funds. These motions are required to be used when filing any motion involving interpleader or other deposit requests:
